Message A Miata looks better, and has the about the same specs. The MR2 are are light and powerful esp if the rare turbo verison can be found. The price depends on the year/condition.

I was just commenting on it's design. It's a remarkable car as far as what it can do, but a car should be good overall. It lacks design exterior and interior(ergonomics too), but has nice weight specs and that is unbalanced to me. They could have kept the same specs, but change some aesthitics int and exterior and it would be a better balanced car. Obviously the design was due to the time it was coming out, but still it could have looked better. How many of the enthusiasts out there actually liked it before Initial D? I bet not many.

I agree that lightweight, RWD cars are a dying breed. It is a shame, but the Corolla would def not be on top of the list mentioned. A Rx7, MR2, 240sx, or dare I even say an NSX would come to mind when I think about lightweight cars of 80s and 90s.
